General Syllabus
Listed below are the general topics we will study this year. These “General Science” standards reflect an emphasis on STEM education through the integration of Embedded Standards for Inquiry, Technology and Engineering, and Mathematics.

50% Assessments
Written homework will be assigned several times per week. Students should spend some time each night reviewing concepts taught at school that day.
One project will be assigned per 9 week.
Absences
It is your responsibility to find out what make up work is required after an absence. Check the “Makeup Work Calendar” posted in the classroom for assignments. You have one week to make up your work. If you have an unexcused absence, you will receive a one-letter grade penalty.
Supplies
There is a $5/student lab fee request for Science. These funds will be used to purchase lab materials not covered by the school. In addition to supplies required for 7th grade the following items are needed for science: 1 lab notebook (small composition book), two glue sticks, 1 package (4-6) normal sized square post-it notes, and a metric ruler.
Additional supplies may be necessary throughout the year for special projects.

- Arrive on time to class
- Bring textbook and class supplies to class each day
- Respect adults, fellow students and property
- No food, drinks, cell phones or ipods allowed in class
- Abide by White Station Middle School rule
